Spinal Manipulation

chiropractic

Gentle spinal manipulation utilizing a variety of techniques including Diversified, Thompson, Toggle Recoil, Cox Flexion-Distraction and NMMO Receptor Tonus Technique. Spinal damage from trauma or every day chores can put stress on the body and vertebral column, causing misalignment of the head, neck and back. The result is stress on the nervous system, muscle, joints and posture. Routine spinal check-ups, spinal manipulation can reduce pain and discomfort and allow your body to heal and function properly.

Spinal Screening Complimentary spinal screening are performed by appointment. We will review any complaints or goals for health, examine your posture, check for misalignment in the spine, pelvis, hip and shoulder. We will discuss and answer any questions about how chiropractic works, if it may work for you specifically. There is no commitment required. Just a simple check, question/answer half hour session on us!

Myofascial Release Therapy
Myofascial Release Therapy (aka Nimmo Receptor Tonus Technique), gives our patients an advantage to a treatment protocol that yields, quicker, more effective, longer lasting results and faster transition to a higher level of activity and an approach to wellness that is integrative, focusing on structural integrity, symmetry and balance.

Myofascial Release Therapy is performed by manually scanning the muscles to detect the presence of noxious generative points similar to myofascial trigger points which cause improper muscle contraction and pain. The presence of these trigger points is the source of pain which can refer pain to other sites in the body causing structural adaptation and imbalance. The treatment consists of detection of these noxious points and application of digital pressure 10 to 12 seconds with a quick release.

Myofascial Release technique requires the doctor of chiropractic to be extremely perceptive to the patient’s muscle tonus, a high degree of sensory and palpatory acuity to perform this technique. I have been utilizing this technique for over 20 years and am excited to continue to introduce my patients to its benefits.

Thompson Drop Technique

adjustments

Thompson Drop technique utilizes a uniquely designed chiropractic adjusting table also known
as “Segmental Drop Table” to enhance the motion force imparted towards the specific region of
the spine by the doctor of chiropractic.

The “Segmental Drop System” takes advantage of the spine’s inherent design of the joints in-order to move the spinal segment in the direction that will improve the motion of the segment with the one above and below. It’s a technique that allows for a gentle yet safe and effective method to adjust the segments of the spine.

This technique can be utilized for all age groups and levels of dysfunction. Since the Hill Labs Automatic AFT chiropractic treatment table allows me to perform the Thompson Technique I am able to perform automated flexion and distraction motion. Furthermore manual lateral movement of the table also helps the doctor
work on patients with variety of disc conditions, scoliosis and much more.

Other Techniques

Flexion Distraction Therapy.
Flexion Distraction is a chiropractic technique used to treat many conditions of the lumbar spine. It is a non-surgical technique aimed at increasing spinal motion and
resolving disc bulges and disc herniations.

Activator Method Chiropractic Technique.
The Activator Method uses a small, hand-held instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument to deliver a gentle impulse force to the spine with the goal of
restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint.
